Aberdeen International Airport Community Fund

Aberdeen International Airport Community Fund makes grants in the communities closest to Aberdeen Airport and also within the City of Aberdeen.

The Aberdeen Panel is made up of representatives from the airport, including Aberdeen International Airport senior employees, the Airport Operators Committee and the airport chaplain, local members of the Scottish Parliament, local councillors, the Economic Development Head of Aberdeenshire Council, Aberdeen Council of Voluntary Organisations and a representative from Scottish Business in the Community.

Grants made in 2012

In 2012, the Aberdeen Airport Community Panel donated £80,000 to local groups and charities.

These donations ranged from £250 to Befriend a Child in order to improve Christmas for some of the areas less fortunate children, right up to a £50,000 windfall for Inchgarth Community Centre for the refurbishment of their educational facilities.
